More Pics of Lion Dance

Sorry about leaving, but we were invited to Eder Wong's house for Gong Xi Fa Cai.  They have you come into their homes and feed you.  They give envelopes of momey to all young single adults there--missionaries and others.  They always serve mandarin oranges which are for good luck.  They ship them here from China and they are absolutely   delicious.  All of the stores in town have them.
The Lion Dance is performed everywhere that you can hire a troup to perform a dance--the malls, festivals, private parties, television, etc.  I have a few more pics of Bro. Francis's party.  As Dad told you, I dropped my camera and knocked the batteries out.  By the time I got everything back together, they were finished.  Here's a few pics---

Missionaries and David Chong watching the Lions

Everybody loves the lions!

I'm so sorry that I do not have pics of them dancing on those metal poles!  You hold your breath when a lion jumps from pole to pole!

I'll try to get some of the other missionary's pictures to send to you.  We love you and miss you, but are so happy in the work that we're doing.  It's getting better.

Today is Dad's 70th birthday--he doesn't look a day over 69!  President and Sis. Clark(Mission  Pres.) were in town last night and this morning.  They knew that it was Dad's B'day and invited us to breakfast.  They always stay at the Hyatt and we had their breakfast buffet this morning.  We shopped around a little afterwards, but most things were still closed.  Came home, took a nap, and started doing this blog, took a break to go to Eder's open house, and am now back to finish.  We have just started our fast for which we are fasting for our branch presidency.  Pres. Curdy is moving--we haven't seen him at church in over a month.  So we're getting a new presidency.  Training starts again!!

LOVE, DAD&MOM
